About the Founder

Red Jay describes himself as an artivist (arts activist), using arts based interventions to bring attention to critical social issues. He decided to start Hive Mind Speaks, as a way to move past the notion of 'Bringing attention to' issues and create a pathway for tangible results based outcomes. He believes his job is to make his art interventions force people to take note, while the Hive Mind Speaks forum provides the platform for the public to get involved. He has a background in film, screenwriting and story development, spanning the two countries he shares citizenship with, the UK and Canada. Settled now in Edinburgh, Scotland, he is dedicated to Hive Mind Speaks and the accompanying arts projects that bring these issues up for deliberation on a full time basis.
